Before we’ve signed up to Horus Casino, we read a bit about it and we had the impression that the casino didn’t accept cryptos right away. It seems like they added digital currency options later in the piece. No matter, we’re just glad to see them there. Of course, just because BTC is our preferred methods of payment doesn’t mean everyone will follow suit.

If you wish to deposit at Horus Casino, there are various options available to you. All these options can be grouped into types: credit cards, e-wallets, online bank transfer systems, virtual card/voucher and cryptocurrency. Namely, the possibilities include MiFinity, Jeton, AstroPay, Bitcoin, Ripple, ecoPayz, Visa and even Monero. The casino will not charge any fees for processing deposits into your account. It didn’t with ours. The cashier accepts both Australian Dollar and New Zealand Dollar, so there is no need to make any conversions either.

There were no issues with the deposit process whatsoever. We simply accessed the cashier from the left-side menu. There are only two options, “Deposit” or “Withdraw”. Upon selecting “Deposit” we were given a selection of available payment methods. We clicked on the Bitcoin logo and the instructions clearly pointed out that we should click on the green “Deposit” button to generate a unique BTC address. It was precisely what we did, copied the address and made the transfer from our wallet.

Voila, the money was added to our balance within 10 minutes and we also received a receipt with the details about the deposit in our email inbox. FYI, the minimum deposit with BTC is 0,0002, with no max cap. For more conventional methods, they mostly require at least $20 for a successful deposit.

Neat. Now we can play!

This is where it gets somewhat less impressive. Within the profile section, there is also the verification page, which we visited quickly after registering. There are five blocks on the page. Requiring proof of identity, proof of address, an image of the front of the credit card, proof of an e-wallet payment and a bank statement in the case of a bank transfer. We uploaded proof of identity and address right away. The rest seemed unnecessary since we didn’t use any of the methods in question.

Time passed and there was no news of the account verification process. Not an email from the casino, nothing. We go back like a month later and ask support about our status and they say to upload proof of identity and address and we say that we already did. The follow up answer we got was this:

“Please go to your profile and select the Account verification section, please submit the following documents:
1) Proof of address not older than 2 months.
2) A copy of your ID.
3) A copy of your payment method, please submit a screenshot from your crypto app with your data visible.

The finance department will check your documents as soon as possible.”

Our uploaded proof of address was barely a month and a half old at that point. And why a copy of a payment method (what does that even mean?) when our BTC deposit went through? It looks like the financial department should wake up and start doing their job more attentively.

Our withdrawing experience at Horus Casino was spoiled by the fact that we weren’t able to withdraw any winnings. Why? Because the minimum withdrawal amount is $150 if you want to cash out using Bitcoin. Outrageous.

We made a substantial deposit, a lot more then what is the predetermined minimum limit for replenishing the account balance at Horus. We played with our deposited funds responsibly and we couldn’t accumulate enough winnings to reach such a steep threshold.

Another thing you should be aware of is the possibility of withdrawal fees. A fee of up to 10% may apply to all deposits/withdrawals if the amount has not been turned over. The player is obligated to wager the deposited amount at least once to be able to request a withdrawal in the first place.

For a site that offers guidelines regarding how to by BTC and then wager with it should set a lower bar for BTC withdrawals. Why members who want to cash out with MiFinity, for example, can do it with a minimum amount of $30? For cryptos the low limit goes from $50 up to $150, which is not fair. Overall, we are disappointed and will not tolerate such greedy conditions from Horus Casino. They should know better.
