We can’t really praise the variety of options at the cashier. The “wide selection” we were promised came down to credit and pre-paid cards and a couple of e-wallets. They also support crypto payments and wire transfers. CoinDirect it is, then! Objectively, it is not a bad set of options, as they are quite universal. However, the management could add more payment processors and expand the current list with some mobile-friendly options or instant banking solutions.

As per usual, the process of depositing with crypto was simple. An address is immediately generated for you to copy and send your coin to. Once in our wallet environment, we entered the deposit amount and sent the money to the address. Make sure to always use the correct address. Our deposit arrived in about 15 minutes after we clicked that “Send” button. Looking back, we can say that depositing at King Johnnie was an uneventful experience. However, that is a good thing. We didn’t want any problems occurring, did we?

The documents for verification were submitted right after we set up an account. The casino requires a copy of an ID or a passport to prove your identity. For the purposes of verifying your address they ask for a utility bill. Straightforward enough. The casino management was not too picky and they accepted our documents without hesitation.

There is a third slot in the KYC page (which you can access by going to “Account” > “KYC”) which requires images of your credit card, but only if you choose this method as your preferred deposit option.

The next day we inquired about the verification process with support and received an email that our account was fully verified. Around 28h passed since the moment we uploaded the documents. So, a decent run time for completing the account approval process.

After a gaming session at King Johnnie, the moment came when we decided to ask for a payout. We must say, the website design is extremely easy to navigate. If you wish to cash out, you just need to click on the “Withdraw” tab on the left side menu. We did just that and for some reason a pop-up window appeared asking for a 4-digit verification code. It was supposed to arrive on our phone via SMS.

However, there were no texts coming our way. We used the option to resend the code several times before we reached out to support. The agent asked for our details, which we have already provided, and they advised to clear out cache and cookies and resend the code once again.

So, there we go clearing cache and coming back to the site, clicking on “Withdraw”. And what happens? No SMS code required! The withdrawal window opened and we could freely select our payment method.

Was this a diversion? Not sure, but what happened next surprised us even more. While looking to choose our payout method, we noticed that only bank transfer is offered. Only one withdrawal method? And bank transfer? We were sure there were more listed on the payment page

Back to the drawing board, or shall we say back to chat! Upon asking why weren’t we able to cash out using crypto, the same method we deposited with, the agent said they only offered bank transfer. As of that wasn’t limiting enough, they added a small fee of up to $35 applies for bank transfer withdrawals. A “small” fee?! Outrageous.

We went back to double check and the agent confirmed with these exact words:

“Your withdrawal may incur up to $35 fees applied by the processor liaising with your bank.”

Most unfortunate. Transaction fees that high are unacceptable. We decided to cash out anyway, just to see how much exactly the fees would be. The withdrawal was barely above the minimum, so we were aiming to see what budget players can expect from the KJ cashier.

On first attempt, we inputted all the details and clicked on the withdrawal button only to get a loading page for like 15 minutes. We refreshed and repeated the process. Now the system would not accept our payout request, informing us that the minimum withdrawal allowed is $100. At this point we gave up and concluded this casino is ridiculous.
